Makar and Dr. Rebecca Makar, life long Alaskans and owners of Makar Eyecare, are sincerely delighted

Dr. Anthony J Makar
Dr. Makar is a board certified optometric physician who received a doctorate degree with honors from
Pacific University, College of Optometry, Forest Grove, Oregon. He is a member of the American
Optometric Association, the Alaska Optometric Physicians Association as well as the International
Optometric Honor Society, Sigma Beta Kappa. Dr Makar has specialized graduate training and eight
years experience in orthokeratology. Dr. Anthony Makar is continuously educated in ocular disease
diagnosis and treatment as well as preventive and nutritional healthcare. He has special interest in
the treatment of patients with ocular surface disease - dry eyes, and glaucoma. He provides his
patients expertise in design and fitting of specialty contact lenses. Dr. Makar has recent training
with over a decade of experience in the eye care field.
Dr. Rebecca J Makar
Dr. Rebecca Makar is a board certified Optometric Physician and a graduate of Pacific University,
College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. She is a member of the American Optometric Association,
the Alaska Optometric Physicians Association, and the International Optometric Honor Society Sigma
Beta Kappa.
